With over 30 years of experience in the investment advisory industry, John Garrard brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Optimum Financial Services, LLC. Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, John’s deep-rooted understanding of financial markets and client needs drives his approach to investment management.

John earned his B.B.A. in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University before working in the banking sector in Jackson, MS. He later pursued his M.B.A. at Millsaps College, strengthening his financial acumen and leadership skills. His investment career began in 1990 with A.G. Edwards, and over the years, he has held key roles at Legg Mason, Wood Walker, and Smith Barney before joining Optimum Financial Services in 2007.



With a focus on fiduciary responsibility, risk-conscious portfolio management, and client-first financial planning, John is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and institutions navigate investment strategies that align with their long-term goals.
